SHANGHAI COSFAR SHIPPING INTERNATIONAL CO.LTD “hereinafter referred to as COSFAR” was established on 28th Nov,2003. COSFAR is a diversified joint stock company invested by COSCO XIAMEN and Zhejiang Sifang Import & Export Co.,Ltd.
In the early stages, the main business was focused on freight forwarding and BTB ship chartering. In the year 2006, bare-chartered in three vessels of multi-purpose general cargo, obtained the shipping management qualification as a Class-A freight forwarder & NVOCC authorized by China Ministry of Transport. ISO-9001 quality management system certification and ship management qualification certificate issued by China Maritime Safety Administration was also awarded.
The main business of COSFAR is including bulk and multipurpose vessel operating , as well as door to door’s logistics service for overseas projects. The shipping company registered in overseas by COSFAR own and control for long term 15-20 dry bulk ships with DWT of 600,000 metric tons, and operating the carriage of goods by sea from Fast East in Russia , China , Japan and Korea to SE Asia , the South Pacific , India , the Persian Gulf , the Red Sea and the east coast of Africa .
